The topic of the upcoming Sydney conference is how shifting capital can be a force for good.

More investors are moving their capital to achieve social and environmental outcomes as well as financial returns, with the Global Impact Investing Network estimating the size of the worldwide impact investing market to be $1.67 trillion.

This phenomenon is the inspiration behind Mainstreaming Impact. It’s time! The driving force behind the 2023 Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific in its seventh year of growth. The Summit will be held at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, from March 30 to 31, 2023.

Over 70 experts will share a wealth of wisdom with more than 500 expected attendees. In an array of plenary, panel, provocation and pitch sessions, they will impart thought-leading investing insights, stories, ideas and opportunities to private and institutional investors, family trusts and foundations, summit partners, peak supporting organisations, social enterprises, and government leaders.

The 2023 speaker line-up will feature international visionary, Jed Emerson, managing director of global lead impact investing at Tiedemann Advisors (USA). He will be in conversation with summit ambassador Rosemary Addis, co-founder of Mondiale Impact and a global leader and strategist in social innovation and investment.

The audience will also hear the latest via video link from the so-called father of British venture capital, Sir Ronald Cohen, renowned authority and author of OnImpact. A Guide to the Impact Revolution.

  1. Those who are new to impact
  2. People already on the impact investing journey
  3. Deep impact enthusiasts and investors

The 2023 summit will also see the launch of ImpactConnect 1:1, a new capital raising initiative, a ‘match making’ model centred on the advantages of speed dating.

Commenting on the 1:1 initiative, Alex Feher, who co-founded the summit with Rob Irving in 2015, said: We have convened ImpactConnect gatherings for investors since 2019. Encouraged by the response, we are taking the concept to the next level of scale and intent. A proactive model that offers funds and enterprises the opportunity to capital raise and engage with the entire Summit audience of investors and influencers. This in pursuit of our purpose to shift capital as a force for good”.
